MENTORSHIP TO BECOME A CERTIFIED MENTAL PERFORMANCE CONSULTANT (CMPC)®

Individuals pursuing the Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC)® credential need to have mentored hours from an Approved Mentor. I have been an Approved Mentor since 2014. I provide mentorship to CMPC® applicants who are licensed mental health professionals or are pursuing a degree eligible for mental health licensure.

Mentees must have access to their own client base for the mentorship to be successful. Mentorship sessions may occur in person or via a HIPAA-secure video conference platform. I review session material in person or via the secure video conferencing platform, which enables me to provide effective feedback about your work with athletes. Mentees must have liability insurance. It is also understood that mentorship hours do not count toward hours for licensure as a psychologist or other mental health professional (e.g., LPCC, LCSW).

I specialize in working with elite athletes, namely collegiate student-athletes. I have extensive experience working with sports medicine professionals and was given the 2023 Jack Weakley Award of Distinction from NATA for lifetime outstanding contributions directly impacting health care in the area of athletics, athletic training, and sports medicine. I have been in private practice since 2007 and have contracts with multiple entities. Therefore, if you are interested in growing your skills within any of those areas, I can offer additional insights.

Contact me directly so we can discuss the potential mentorship arrangement and determine if it is a good fit for both parties. The quick consultation fee does not apply to CMPC® mentorship; my time is only billed in full hour increments for CMPC® mentorship.

Fee: $200 per hour
